Apple II Serial Number Registry

Hi guys,

Triggered by a conversation in another recent thread, I have thrown together an Apple II serial registry page. I was able to modify my popular C64 registry without too much trouble.

Suggestions are welcome, please register as many as you want. You don't have to create an account to do it, and you are welcome to enter a fake e-mail address if you want... I don't use them for anything except questions about the entry.

The photos for badges and keyboard type were found on Google images- hopefully that doesn't upset anyone. If you can make better pictures, or other pictures I have missed, please let me know. Also, any other "hallmark" info you think would be useful to collect (I know power supplies are another one) let me know that also, and include pics. Smile

P.S. I just added the Europlus, J-Plus, and Bell & Howell. I am *not* currently doing //e, as I doubt there is much interest in tracking the mass-production years at this time.

Re: Apple II Serial Number registry test

Is the C64 DataBase, "strictly" the C64 Breadbox and the C128 "clone" units, or can the SX-64's be included???

I have 3 Vic 20's of Unknown Operating status, a couple C64's known to Operate, a couple of C128, known to Operate and an SX-64 that works excellently...

Thanks for this! Nifty tool - I added my Rev 0.

I'm probably the only one wanting this, but how about a database for Apple III/III Plus?

It was intended for C64 only, not SX. Some people have entered SX's anyway, though, so I need to add it.

Do you mind educating me on the power supply revisions, and point me to photos I can use?

Here are a couple photos of the first model power supply, the A2M001. This model was used all the way through the 1979 introduction of the Apple II Plus. In fact the first few thousand II Plus still used it.
The very first A2M001 had a large silkscreened "Apple Computer" logo on the top. This version came with the first 900-1000 Apple II. After that, the A2M001 had a sticker on top.

The very first silkscreened version: http://s948.photobucket.com/user/epoxy2600/media/Apple%20II%20power%20supplies/Earliest%20A2M001_zps6g6kjp2k.jpg.html

Then the sticker version: http://s948.photobucket.com/user/epoxy2600/media/Apple%20II%20power%20supplies/A2M001_zpskqkowpwv.jpg.html

Feel free to use these for the registry.

Re: Apple II Serial Number Registry

Thanks Mark... What about the bat handle switches vs. the rocker switches?

That was Howie...

Here are some photos of my Rev-03 Apple ][. I have the Silver Case power supply, with the 4 Rivets and the Sticker, that was Hand Modified to indicate 115/230 VAC, and the Prone to Fail power switch.

Feel Free to use any photos you find handy.

Just a reminder, I also set up a registry page. Pete, feel free to take it over, or import this into your registry, whatever makes sense.

Oh, it's totally ok. I created that registry for the same purpose, a website obviously is much easier to manage.
