AST MULTI I/O card

I'm trying to track down a user's manual for the AST Multi I/O card. It is supposed to provide parallel and serial ports, as well as a system clock for the Apple II. I managed to locate a utilities disk image for the card on Asimov but I have been unable to find any written documentation. It has a series of jumpers and DIP switches that, without some functional understanding, are useless. Any help is appreciated.

In lieu of documentation you'll have to get a data sheet for the chip the jumpers and switches are connected to and try and derive the function from there. You might have to even look at the code on the utility disk. Reverse engineering, buddy! It sucks, it's tedious, it's trial & error. But it may be all that remains.

Either that, or wait till someone scans the manual.

Not exactly the reply I had hoped for but it's a good one. Smile I think for the short term anyway, I'll continue to pursue a manual or scan. Reverse engineering will include dumping the code from an unsocketed EPROM. I do appreciate the feedback and am keeping this option open.

I scanned the manual. You may download it at http://etc.c-scharmer.de/index.php/s/p42FKB5f3uePRb6
