Very cool! I've got the "low res" 1.67GHz PowerBook G4. Both the 1.67GHz models score about the same on GeekBench (even though the HR model has DDR2 RAM), so the only thing that could make me want to upgrade would be the higher resolution display. But if this type of swap works, that suddenly opens up a hack opportunity with a "parts" HR 1.67GHz G4.

indeed. I have the 1.25, the 1.5 and the 1.67: side by side comparisons tell that they are basically the same machine...
