do you know how to fix it???I mean what kind of ic do I need to change?hope every experience apple II pro can tell me thx
by the way,my apple II motherboard has socket,I have idea,if all ic are change new one.is it better for machine?or any repair screen can become normal staus
The character set appears to be displaying the wrong characters.
as a simple diagnostic test to start, I would:
- press RESET
- type HGR and press Return
If all is well, the screen should switch to hi-resolution and clear.
Also, with the computer off, check that the ICs are properly seated in their sockets.

booting without a disk in the drive.
should be a blank screen with CLONE II or some such text at the top of the screen.

booting with a disk that displays the catalog (directory listing)
and has a status line at the bottom of the screen.
