Introducing the CFFA 3000!

A2Central has the announcement made by Rich Dreher at Applefest 2011 of the CFFA 3000 card.
It's about 5 minutes and outlines its capabilities.

I can't wait to get my hands on one (or two, or three, lol). Smile

Actually the video you're talking about at a2central is the one David Schmidt did and posted on YouTube about the CFFA3000. It would be nice if there is some kind of announcement from Rich about the CFFA3000 soon.

I offered to do the video, and Rich enthusiastically agreed... he's at KFest right now, and asking those folks to do a wider beta for him. He's got his soldering iron with him, and is madly putting things together to meet the demand just from KFest. So much so that he hasn't had time to add the video to his home page. All in due time!

I thoroughly enjoyed the video you did David. I'm looking forward to being able to order the CFFA3000 from Rich. I'm also thinking about getting the SmartPortVHD to add to my //c.

I added myself to the 'interested' list for the VHD too. I see Cedric Peltier demoed it at KFest... I wonder when those will be ready?

David and All,

(david) It's an excellent video! I also know that Rich is going to have his hands full for a while getting out the orders from KFest. lol
I am not in a rush. I can wait in line with everyone else. Smile

I am also waiting for the IIc set-up. That will complete my IIc upgrades. It has taken a few years, but it has been well worth the wait.

Re: Introducing the CFFA 3000!

Geoff Weiss did the VHD demo, probably arranged by Antoine Vignau and Cedric. It won't win any speed records, but it's real and it works and OMG, I have to order a bunch of them. FINALLY, a mass storage solution for the //c. I thought I would be retired before something like this shipped.

The CFFA3000 is nice. Just a few kinks to work out, but the upgrade process is brain dead easy.

CFFA 3000!

Ok I received an e-mail from Rich a couple of days ago for preorder of the new card.

You are going to have to step it up if you plan on getting one as out of a production run of 300, he only has 84 left.
Limit per customer is 2. Smile

Oh yes. Mine is ordered. Smile

Re: Introducing the CFFA 3000!

As reported on A2Cental yesterday:

The first batch of 300 CFFA 3000 Cards have SOLD OUT!

A second batch will be considered after the orders for the first 300 are completed.

Re: Introducing the CFFA 3000!

I mailed off my payment Tues for my CFFA3000 and the remote and cable. Now all I need to eventually add to my GS is an accelerator and I'll be set.

Re: Introducing the CFFA 3000!

Magnus,

I just received the TransWarp IIgs I won on ebay last week.
I wound up getting it cheaper than the $600.00 one that MCPricebreakers out of San Diego wanted. I'm going to pull my existing (REV 3) CFFA card out of my Platinum IIe and replace it with the 3000 when it arrives, then place the REV 3 into my IIgs.

SWEEEEET! Smile

gsmcten,

Way to go, on the Transwarp GS! Sounds like you'll have a really sweet set up on both the GS and the Platinum IIe after you get the CFFA3000.
