Hi, i have assembled a Vince multi io board now i m learning how to load program and the right settings. testing it i have noticed that i can load correctly a program with a caracters delay of 15 is thia right or the delay is not needed and my multi io bord have some Problem?
Is it correct to load the program write the first number wiyh an R, because some programs dosent start in this way.
I have also installed a speakjet that worked for some minutes telling ready at start up and reset but then my replica was unable to power up with speakjet installed and without speakjet and the jumper on.i think the speakjet broken, i have read in the manual that is better to dont use the speakjet and the serial port togheter but i made it.

Re: Multi io board delay

I guess your right with your suspense..... in modern chips the accesstime to RAM is allways with less delay than to Eprom as result the RAM has accesstimes between 50 nanoseconde ans 200 nanosecondes meanwhile eproms have accesstimes between 150 nanoseconds and 300 nanoseconds... you should take a closer look on top of the dhipcase to identify the timing restrictions... the are usualy coded at the end of the chiptyp... for example 2764-3 is a timing of 300 nanoseconds
while 4164-15 ist representing a RAM chip with 150 nanoseconds of timing or 51256-70 is another RAM chip with 70 nanoseconds timingframe... a closer view to the specs sheet should give precise info to the chips you´ve used....
and due to the result of this checkout the delay must be set...l.
