I got a complete apple iigs system off Craigslist for 50 bucks!

Here is my question. I have a USB 3.5 floppy that works with my windows 7 pc can I transfer a 5.25 disk image for the apple ii as an image file on a 3.5 and have the apple iigs read it and write it onto the 5.25 drive for my apple ii plus? Anyone know of any software that could help the iigs write a apple ii format disk to the 5.25 drive?

Congrats on the find! You could try using Copy II+ to copy the software. You can find copies of it several places on the web.

No, you can't use PC drives to read or write Apple formats.
If you get some serial hardware, you can use ADTPro to transfer disk images back and forth. See: http://adtpro.sourceforge.net

Thanks I ordered the serial cable, a USB to serial adaptor, and both 5.25 and 3.5 double density floppies. I will let you know how it goes.
