My IIgs list two 5.25 drives connected when I only have one

Is it normal for the IIgs to list two 5.254 drives when only one is connected?

Is it showing two 5.25 disk drives on the GS/OS desktop or is it showing two when you use something like Copy II+ and have it list the drives attached?

It's when i run ADTPro. Also it seems my battery is dead, Most websites list a 3.6v lithium as the replacement but, the one on my rom 01 board is 1 3v soldered to the motherboard. Is 3.6v OK are there any easy replacement options for those not very skilled with a soldering iron?

It's when i run ADTPro.

I changed that behavior in ADTPro version 1.1.7, released today.

Here's one possibility that you might consider for replacing the dead battery in your ROM 01 GS: http://www.reactivemicro.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_36_25&products_id=45 it's a battery pack that you can replace the GS battery with, you don't even need to remove the GS battery just cut the leads and hook up the pack. you can read all the details on the web page I gave you the link to.

I concur with Magnus on the replacement battery set-up from Reactive. I have two of them; one in a ROM01 and one in a ROM03 and have had no problems with either. Smile

I have been replacing the batteries on ROM01 IIGS motherboards with this type of 3-AAA cell battery holders for 2 years now and they work just fine. I decided on them vs replacing the soldered battery with a 1/2AA battery holder on the ROM01 motherboards because they are much cheaper all-around, and AAA batteries are easier to find and cheaper than 1/2AA cells.
