Raised Power Light Switch Help Needed!

Hello, I'm trying to repair the original keyboard for my Apple II. One problem is I don't have the right key-switch for the raised power light. The one that I have does not give it enough height. I figure that I'm not going to find one of those anytime soon. I have the correct raised power key, just not the correct switch. Has anyone done a modification the to a key-switch from a plus for example, to give it the correct height? I was thinking maybe I could put a spacer underneath the key-switch. What do you guys/gals think?

Can you take a picture of what you mean? I'm not getting the gist of what you're after. You know that the power light isn't actually a keyswitch, right? It's just the indicator, and it doesn't move? And there were two different heights for the wider white light block that doesn't look like a keyswitch at all... can you show which you have, and why you think it's not the right height?

Re: Raised Power Light Switch Help Needed!

I don't know how to add any photo here. Anyway, the original Apple II keyboard has a raised power light. Mine has the right key but it is not raised. This is because the original owner of my computer removed most of the key-switches. Including the base that sits underneath the raised power light. I don't know what that is called sorry. I replaced all of the key-switches, and the base that sits underneath the power light with ones from a early 1980 model. Unfortunately, the light sits just at the same height as an Apple II Plus. I want it to be the right height for an original Apple II. Hopefully this makes sense.
