Re: Apple IIe Pro Dos Block Device ie Unidisk 3.5

The ProDos Block Device allows you to connect and use 3.5 disk drives with the Apple IIe Enhanced if ProDos is used which then allows you to access Macintosh disks using the Apple IIe is what my understanding is from what I have read.

On the included DVD Disk are some documents that discuss the ProDos Block Device.

... So are you referring to a hardware card in the system? The "Prodos Block Device" basically refers to a mechanism in DOS to allow it to handle "virtual" volumes. Here's some documentation, it usually applied to "Smartport"-style devices daisy-chained off a floppy controller but there are some other edge cases where it might show up. I'm not sure how that translates into a hardware feature... does the system have a Smartport-capable floppy drive controller? (Like the "Liron" card?)

Yes it has a hardware card which has two , DB19 Female input connectors on the back that connect to it.
It has Vtech 35-2424 -00 702263A and 2 Barcodes.
So my guess from the LIRON link you gave it is this one:
Apple II Universal Controller manufactured by Video Technology and was also marketed by Central Point. It is an 800K generic type controller that can do every Double Density (or compatible- IE, SuperDrive as 800K) drive that Apple made with ONE exception.
