Vulcan IIgs hard drive replacement

Hello All, I have a Vulcan IIgs that I've been meaning to repair for some time - both power supply and hard drive are bad. I have good replacement parts, but I ran across this SCSI to SD board from code/src a while back. Any reason why this would not be a fabulous replacement for the original SCSI drive? Is there any reason to think there might be hardware incompatibility issues with the Vulcan controller card?

Vulcan card uses IDE/PATA hard drive, not SCSI HDD.

It seems that replacing the hard drive on your Vulcan is harder than we thought.

It's not hard replacing the hard drive, it's just hard to find compatible ones. Once you find a suitable drive, all you need to do is format it with the Vulcan utilities.
I've a couple of spares for my Vulcans but right now I'm using Compact flash with an ide adapter. Finding suitable CFs are also hard. I sort of miss the Miniscribe and WD sounds but the CFs are a lot faster.
With the IIgs updating to the Vulcan Gold ROM is a good idea as there are more HDs that'll work with the card. If nothing else, there's companies that specialize in selling old HDs. Their prices can be a little high though

AAAahhhhhrrrgh, my bad memory! Yes, the Vulcans had IDE interfaces - been so long I had forgotten. But definitely good to know that IDE to CF adapter works! I do have the Gold ROM, and a functional replacement drive (although I have not tested it since purchase), but I do prefer a non-mechanical HD; will definitely look into IDE/CF adapters. Thanks All!!

Here's some pics of the CFs that worked with my Vulcan controller

Most CFs didn't work. I was looking into this as a backup for when my drives died but since they're twice as fast it's hard to go back to the drives.
