I bought this item today just because I really wanted an Apple II plus, and this one seems to have a bunch of cards plugged in and original box, many manuals.

I noticed the power light was raised but thought it was only an Apple II thing?

The serial number is low 01382 , could it be left over parts from the Apple II?

Also, there is a 'Microsoft' card plugged in. Does this mean it has Integer Basic chips plugged in the MB?

Earlier IIs and II+s had the raised power light.
The motherboard has applesoft in ROM.
The Microsoft card in slot 0 is a 16k card sometimes called a Language card
Can’t really make out what the other cards are except that the card in slot 3 will be an 80 column card
You got a pretty good deal.

Hunter,

Another item to look at is the Motherboard Serial Number.
This is the four digit number (7842 for example) in the White Box,
Upper Left Corner of the board next t the Power Connector.
The first two digits are the year (78).
The next two digits are the week (42).

Does the Motherboard have three 16k Blocks along the Left Side?

The last thing to check would be to (carefully) remove the
6502 chip from it's socket and check the number beneath it.

Unfortunately this looks to have a much later motherboard than you would expect for that serial number. The giveaway is it has Made in Singapore on the top right of the board. There also does not appear to be any memory select blocks on the left hand side on which can be found on rev 4 and earlier boards.

Bummer, one has to wonder if Apple replaced a bad motherboard. The cardboard box says '16K' so it must have been a really old MB. Maybe someone decided to just upgrade the motherboard than try to replace the memory selectors and add memory

More likely someone just replaced a faulty motherboard rather than repairing it. Upgrading to 32k or 48k would have just involved adding more ram chips as the org board would have likely had 16k memory blocks to begin with.

Agree- This is likely an early II+ that was upgraded/repaired.
