Software to Transfer Pics from my Digital Rebel XT to OSX 10.3.9

Alright, I have searched quite a bit for software that works with the Digital Rebebl XT to transfer pictures from the camera. I have tried just pluggin it in to see if it would show up as a drive and no dice. I tried the software listed on Canon's Support site and not one supports OS version 10.3 or above.

Let me know if someone can help me out!

Some pointers

I have an one of the original digital rebels, and it works fine with my PowerBook G4, 10.3, and 10.4 alike. Have you tried using iPhoto, or Image Capture. The camera, when connected to your Mac, won't show up on your desktop. If these don't work for you, you may want to invest in getting a compactflash card reader. These can be usb (for desktops and iBooks) or pcmcia (for PowerBooks, excluding early models and the 12"). In my experience, card readers work faster and are generally less hassle. They also save on wear and tear on your camera's battery.

Considering that the rebel xt shipped before tiger did, I would say it's safe to assume that it should be supported by iPhoto and Image Capture. If those don't appeal to you, you may want to install the Photoshop elements cd that came with camera.

And if you have a machine wit

And if you have a machine with USB 1.1, you can find FireWire card readers too. Waiting for a large transfer over USB 1.1 is an exercise in extreme patience.
