10.4.4 on Generic PCs

As I sort of half predicted in the "Mac OS is easily installed on Windows PCs" thread it seems 10.4.4 for x86 has been cracked.

My nostradamus like quote.

"It means that future versions of OSX have a very good chance of being hacked to run on generic PC's and that can't be good news for the Macintosh."

It will be interesting to see Apples response.

I think Apple has been pretty weak so far in responding to cracked versions of OSX.

It was pretty obvious to

It was pretty obvious to a lot of people that the release version of OSX would get cracked even as far back as August last year with the development versions being cracked at about that time.

There were some optimists saying it wouldn't happen though.

Apple has released 10.4.5 maybe in response to 10.4.4 being cracked.

Apple has finally sprung

Apple has finally sprung into action and have issued some warnings to some sites.

Better late than never.
