Merry Unbirthday To Me!

(slightly changed)

Statistics prove,
prove that I've one birthday,
one birthday every four years.
But there are fourteen hundred and sixty unbirthdays.
That is why we're gathered here to cheer.
A very merry unbirthday to me, to me.
A very merry unbirthday to me,
It's great to drink to someone and I guess that I will do.
A very merry unbirthday to me

(For those who don't know, I was born on Feb. 29)

So what does that make you...about eight, if you only count the 29ths?

A very merry unbirthday to you, to you!

PS - being only eight is a good excuse to keep collecting Star Wars toys Wink
'Course, there's other toys than Star Wars to spend your money on, too!

Ah, the joys of being born on February 29! Then again, how many people can get a real car for their 4th birthday! Most 4 year olds get Hot Wheels!

My birthday is September 4 (boring, I know). Which means my half-birthday is Saturday! Too bad nobody ever celebrates that. But on that topic, how does somone born on August 30 or 31 celebrate their half birthday? February obviously doesn't give you that opportunity...

My wonderful wife did yet another great job on the celebratory gifts, even though our budget is kinda "ramen noodles" right now:

I got "Serentity", "Land of the Dead", and "Darkness" on DVD. The first because... well... duh!... the second 'cuz I like cheezy Romero flicks, and the third... well... the name of the movie is "Darkness"... what do you think?

She also got me a coffee mug with historical Texas stuff all over it. I'm all about the Texas, so this is just too cool.

For myself, I purchased a clear plexi case for my iPod Video...

Tomorrow, the festivities continue with happy hour at No Frills Grill at Eastchase and I-20. If and of you are in the D/FW area, swing by and buy me a beer...

(Puts on Serenity again)

It's like a forum drinking game, except no drinking. Everytime it gets mentioned, I put on my copy.

So...do you get to have two parties and then average them?

Well, no real "party" this year, but usually my wonderful wife gives me a coupla days worth of spoiling...
