If I could just borrow a moment of your time...

A community I am in have done research on a particular site known as
eBaum's World. In our research we have found many disturbing facts,
and we would like to ask if you would sign our petition to help rectify
these issues.

http://www.petitiononline.com/MF370159/petition.html

Just some information and background history:

The site known as eBaum's World is responsible for stolen material from
several thousand publishers worldwide, without placing the correct credit
or recognition. Finally, Eric Bauman recieves $6000 a day from the
advertising generated from stolen materials.

The names listed here are those of who agree on behalf of our
statement, and are strongly requesting the closure of eBaum's World. At
the very least, the creators of the content must receive their correct
recognition for their works.

Thanks
Michael Brice

Your grammar is awful. Please learn English if you expect to be taken seriously.

You might also consider making your research available for review.

A community of one, being just me, has done less than five minutes of research and has come up with disturbing uncredited facts: Online petitions are a ridiculous waste of time.
The online community - meaning just me - would would like you to sign the petition below calling for the closure of Petitionsonline.

The irony of using petitionsonline to protest petitionsonline is sweetly intentional.

You mean the [url=http://en.w

You mean the Dalek?
Everyone should know what Daleks are. They are the superior beings.

There is also a notice at the bottom of the main page that states that original creators of media that are on the site may contact the webmaster to have it removed. Until someone shows proof of being ignored over requesting material removed (by the proper owner) I'm not gonna worry much. There's sites like Something Awful and Slashdot and hosts of community sites like MySpace and Xanga where plagerism runs quite rampant. A humor site with a clear notice to aid removal of infringing content doesn't scream "unfair" to me.

Why is it awful!?

I've received criticism from several sites tonight, I don't need anymore of this. If there's a
lock function, then Mods -use it-.

Oh, and Australian ways of spelling things are different from the US system, if that makes
any more sense.

That may be true, but he wasn't commenting on your spelling. He was commenting on your deplorable use of the English language.

If you are going to try to make a point about anything, make sure that you can be understood. Grammar and punctuation are more important when trying to convince someone of something than whatever point you are trying to make.

(I spent about 10 minutes on this post, making sure that my spelling, grammar, and punctuation were correct. Perhaps if other did the same...)
