OS 9.2.2 and game problem

ok now where do we start

ok i have a instalation of OS 9.2.2 and i have games the games play just fine BUT

the spit second i click to go online in every game the system seem's like it lock's up the pointer wont move the KB wont respond and the screen wont refresh but the music is still playing. this will last about 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on the game. but it alway's goes onlineit will freeze for that long and once its done doing what ever it will resume where it froze at

now ive has a few install's where the games would instatly go online as soon as i clicked to go online. but not this time

ive tryed to install OS 9.2.2 8 diffrent times with no change to the games. ive tryed diffrent custom install's but to no avail they still have the problem. the last time i had to reinstall the OS a few times with diffrent custom install setting and the 3rd try it worked they didnt have the lockup. but that install got messed up by me lerning how to use a hex editor . so now im trying to figure out why it does this.

anyone know anything about this and what i can do to get the games to stop having the lockup

I had similar problems. . .

. . . with a MacAlly joystick. I found the problem was with OS 9.2, and that everyting worked fine with v 9.1. Try installing that instead. (Unfortunately you might have to do a clean install, meaning that you wipe out everything on the HD.)

i have 3 partitions one for O

i have 3 partitions one for OS x and the second for OS 9.2.2 and the 3rd partition is for store data for both. and i do whipe the partition that OS 9.2.1 goes on and then i run the 9.2.2 update after the installer is done installing 9.2.1. Then i boot from the hdd and run software update and then update the ATi drivers with the 2005 update
