overkill "the way copyrighting is gitting"

hi now before you start to think this is going to be like the "I hate windows"post it is not I just have a few things to say about copyrighting and the overuse of some aspects of it.I was reading the "MacBook Pro Heat Hack" topic and saw that dr.bob removed the link (the right thing to do) the fact you can't posta pic on a froum is a outrage to me apple needs to cill out we aren't selling these books.if any of you remember my old crapy site some one posted under the name steve jobs and just to be a smart **********
*** said "you a useing the words ""powerbook" and "apple" and you
must stop I don't think it was him but the point is that I was just takling about my favroite computer and not ever talking bad about apple (how could I do that Smile ) so what I am trying to say is the us gov need to spend more time thinking out these laws and less yelling at frittercritters

Dr. Webster closed the thread

Dr. Webster closed the thread. Different human, similar name.

Under copyright, you could probably get away with that image under fair use. However, whoever released it in the first place broke their NDA, a legal contract they agreed to. Also, as far as I know, it's perfectly fine to use trademarked words, as long as you acknowledge the trademark.

Trademark

Personally, I don't know what the big deal is with all of the Apple® lawyers going after anyone who fails to acknowledge their trademark. I admit, I own a number of Macintosh® computers, such as an SE FDHD®, an iBook® and a couple of Quadras®, and seldom recognize the trademark in my writing, even on my old Tandy® Model 102®. However, it is Apple's® place that they don't want anyone besmirching their name.
Lawrence Lessig tackles a bigger aspect of this in his book "Free Culture"©...

Peace,
Rob®
