Anyone put two optical drives in a Quicksilver G4?
Looks like it might be possible if you could use a new faceplate... say from a Mirror Door G4 and a dual-optical drive.
Any ideas on how to do this simply?
Have takeaparts for both.

You would have to hack the mounts as the bottom mount is for a 3.5 inch drive. Also a bigger drive in the lowerbay might interfere with stuff on the motherboard.

I've modded a B&W G3 to accept two optical drives, maybe this will show you what you need to do. I ended up dremeling the bottom half of the drive sled off to mount the second drive underneath. But I'm looking at my quicksilver right now and i see that the drive sled doesn't slide out the front like the B&W's case does. I know when I did mine I had problems with the drive pushing on the wires coming out of the PS. I'd crack my qs right now and look, but it's currently between a desk and a file cabinet, and my G4 cube server is sitting on it.
