To WEP 128 . . .

is the upgrade, however the card still shows up as 'Silver'.

IIRC I've done 4, all orinoco-branded Silvers, all in a Pismo. In theory, it can be done in any AP-slot equipped Mac (in which it physically fits of course.)

Did mine in a Clamshell

I upgraded my Silver to a Gold using a G3 Clamshell. The keyboard would not fit back on during the update but it worked. I thought it was strange that the Silver card worked just like an Airport card while in my Clamshell using OS X 10.3.9 too. on WEP 128bit encryption.... Is that normal ? The damn thing won't work in OS X on the Wallstreet, at least not without the $20 Ioxperts driver.

The reason that the wavelan c

The reason that the wavelan card works fine in the ibook and not the wallstreet is because in os X the airport software will ONLY look at the airport slot and not pc card slots. The opensource driver works great though, no real reason to spend the money on the ioxperts driver.
