My CC menu is blinking all the time. What's wrong and how to fix it? TIA

ISTR . . .

there is something else that causes the menu Apple to blink, an alarm or something. It blinks until you shut it off. Sorry I'm not more helpful, but it's been soooo long since I last dealt with this phenom . . . does this jog anyone else's memory?

Thanks for replying. No bleep

Thanks for replying. No bleeping, no string of characters, everything seem normal, except that blinking and the floppy drive not ejecting but I did remove the foppy manually.
