AIRPORT replacement

a friend was running an Airport Extreme over a comcast cable connection, and for some reason (DHCP? Dynamic IP?) he had to reboot the AE to regain connection to the internet.
he's decided to get rid of the damn thing and try a generic wireless router that won't have this problem.

can anyone recommend a router? preferably one that can be bought at best buy or circuit city.

Any of them

Honestly, they're all pretty much the same at the consumer level. Get a Netgear or a Linksys or a DLink or whatever is cheapest, basically. They all have similar interfaces/functionality, and they all support Macs and PCs fine.

garbage

I replaced my airport extreme with a Netgear and my network has never been happier.

I also engaged in proper disposal of my old demon infested ABS:

Dr. Bob, what kind of compression did you use for that movie? 6 megs is quite big for a movie so short in length...
