First time I've seen non-professional pictures of one. The keyboard looks much higher than I would have thought - almost as if you wouldn't be able to close it.
If you look at the hinge, you can tell that its in kind of an "L" shape. Where the bottom right corner of the L is the actual hinge, and the top line of the L is the screen. The bottom line of the L is the bit that rises the screen off the keyboard. Sorry if that doesn't make sense.
The keyboard and trackpad are removable, and must be 'cause the lid won't close with them in place. KB's one of those Acer wireless ADB jobbies, got one sitting right here.
Heh, it's not like it's a laptop or anything, merely a portable PowerMac with a built-in screen.
I wonder if the seller wrote that copy, it's very well crafted for a lowly eBay listing. Wonder what this thing will fetch? I'll be very curious to see how high it goes. It ain't like it's an Apple prototype though . . .

If you look at other photos of the imediaEngine, the keyboard is recessed.
There was a fellow on Af selling those keyboards about a year ago and I ended up buying a couple. They're pretty useful. I've got three infra-red transceivers all lined up, hooked up to different computers, but typically only have one turned on at a time, so it works as a sort of kvm (or just km, really).
Huh. Does the recessing go up and down while opening the lid? Or, is it adjustable? That'd give space to stow the kb during transport, and open up an air space during use.

Nah, that's alright. I just picked up my dream Mac (a Mustang prototype) recently, so I'll probably sit on my hands.
I can't tell you how long I've been looking for one of these, though. I've got a saved eBay search for all things Vertegri (an QuickTower would be pretty cool, too).

Somehow I can just picture some backwoods rube using something like that... a ridiculously clunky "Lap-Top" he built with his own three hands. (And powers via jumper cables connected to a truck battery.) I suppose whether that's fair depends on whether or not that "Rich Corinthian Leather" wrapped around the front of it is actually 'possum hide.
It's also interesting to note that based on the specs it appears this 604-based machine is using the same motherboard (chipset at least) as all the cheap 603e-based clones. 160MB RAM limit and all that. Which somehow adds to the redneck mutant monster-truck appeal of it.

I've never actually seen one of these before. Then again, I haven't seen too many of the clones. I've seen tons of Power Computing boxes, maybe two Motorola StarMax boxes, and three Umax boxes (including the S900 I had a few years back).
This is what I miss about the clones - lots of neat variations. The Umax and Power Computing boxes were my favorites (including the PowerWave with its Nubus/PCI capability). I miss my S900, that was a cool machine that I got for $25 in 2000 because of a bad 604e board. $75 for a used G3 card fixed all that ;-).

I'll have some more detailed photos and information in a couple weeks.
Got the imediaEngine today. It was the worst packaging job I've ever seen. Powered the computer up, and the LCD was all wavy (almost looked like it was cracked, but I don't think it is) and it couldn't find a startup disk. I powered it off, reseated a few external connections, tried to power it up again, and now get nothing at all.
The packaging he used was almost crystalline, and I'm wondering if it's conductive…
