Debian and sleep/suspend

I just installed Debian Sarge on my Powerbook G3 Wallstreet II (G3/233MHz, 384MB, 10.2GB). Its running great, and even the battery monitor works! But, I have one problem, which is getting it to sleep/suspend. When I right click the power monitor and select "Suspend Computer..." is gives me this error:

Quote:

An error occured while launching the Suspend command: Failed to execute child process "/usr/bin/apm" (No such file or directory) Please try to correct this error.

Any ideas on what I could use for a suspend command? I know that YDL lets me sleep it when I shut the lid, but Debian doesn't.

Thanks.

Do you have pbbuttonsd instal

Do you have pbbuttonsd installed? Macs don't have APM, or ACPI. pbbuttonsd handles many of those functions instead.

There should be a pbbuttonsd.

There should be a pbbuttonsd.conf file in /etc somewhere. I've never had to config one by hand so I'm not sure. Most distros I've used already took care of installing and pre-configuring it for me. It should be fairly simple to turn options on and off with the .conf though.

Alrighty, I go to the config

Alrighty, I go to the config file, and it seems pretty straightforward. But, there are a few things I'd like to figure out. For one, it says the "sleepkey" is 116. I have no idea what that key is. I have used the showkey command to try and find it, but that just puts out things like 0ex5. I would like it to be the powerbutton or mute button. (I have no use for audio on this machine.) Do you know what the number for the power button might be?

EDIT - Also, every time it goes to screensaver (3 minutes) when I move the mouse to get it out of screensaver, it logs me out. Do you know where i might be able to change that?
