PatchBurn, a great utility for previously unsupported CD and DVD drives, is now superfluous with OS 10.4.8, iTunes 7.0.2, a TiPowerbook 500, and a Pioneer Superdrive. I'm making the assumption that Apple is following the path of MicroSoft only in that they are trying to support the widest possible hardware variety. This means that (Oh No!!!) they are even supporting upgrades to the OLD hardware. I will check to see if it works with the older version of iDVD (v4 I think I have).
