In Short Circuit movie (Released in 1986), there is a Color Macintosh!

Do you think that was some kind of prototype or just movie montage ... ?

Montage ...

As for the computer, just movie weirdness. Anyways, since you said Montage ... I am compelled to post this

Montage - by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, as featured in South Park and Team America : World Police

The hours approaching, just give it your best
You got to reach your prime.
That’s when you need to put yourself to the test,
And show us a passage of time,
Were going to need a montage (montage)
Oh it takes a montage (montage)

Sure a lot of things happing at once,
With mind, everyone what’s going on (what’s going on?)
And when every shot you show a little improvement
Just Show it or it will take to long
that’s called a montage (montage)
Oh we want montage (montage)

And anything that we want to know, from just a beginner to a pro,
You want a montage (montage)
even rocky had a montage (montage)

Anything that we want to know, from just a beginner to a pro,
You need a montage (montage)
Oh it takes a montage (montage)

Always fade out in a montage,
If you fade out, it seem like more time
Has passed in a montage,

Not a montage . . . .

A montage is a series of film shots edited together to form a different kind of narrative than the usual editing that makes up scenes in movies. What you have with the "color" 128k in "Short Circuit" is a trick and not a montage. And not a rare trick since just about every TV or computer you see in a film has had its screen replaced due to the film camera picking up the unsynced (to the film camera) rastering of the monitor. Check here to see what I mean:

Okay, seeing that there was a Macintosh in "Short Circuit" just ruins the whole concept of graphical user interfaces for me. I'm going back to using an IBM 704 with punch cards.
