more, please

looks good... my kind of place. But can you elaborate on what that means? You can't keep servers there, can you? I bet the walls of that place are filled with old uninsullated wire and ceramic thingies. Get smoke detectors in there asap.
AND
Congratulations

I.H.O.A. == International Hou

I.H.O.A. == International House of Applefritter? Wink

Between the Mennonite farm and the organic farm you won't likely starve anytime soon.

Gorgeous!

Looks like it needs a lot of work, but it's absolutely beautiful. All that original tongue and groove in the store...and that living room floor!
Hmmm...maybe I'm getting too excited about someone else's house, but I'd jump at a property like that.

'grats tom!

this gonna be your new living arrangments? If it is, that will be really sweet!
What kind of floors are they? Oak? Cherry?

We recently had out floors done in this house (victorian style 2 floors) about 3 years ago, and they turned out great. Since our house is considered historic (city deemed that :-/) we have to pull permits to change pretty much ANYTHING in the house. I almost feel that when we put in a lightbulb, we have to pull a permit.

We will be having new carpet put in our upstairs bedrooms, and We have already pulled the permit for that. We have NO idea how our house got nominated, other than we have the first house in the Dundee area of Omaha, that is also still standing. So, it can be a bit frustrating.
Anyway, if this is going to be your new house, it looks pretty cool Smile

I won't be hosting any servers there (at least, not anything serious). The general store area is going to be the workshop. It's a decent-sized house, so there's also plenty of room for the laboratory, the library, the :ebc: room, etc. Wink

There's knob and tube wiring that's still in place, but it doesn't look like any of it is still being used. I'll be going through that very carefully. I've also purchased both optical and ionization smoke detectors for every room.

No idea.

most likely pine... I've been in my share of older PA homes... pine was really popular. They polish quite nice. But wow... lotta work.
