quicksilver power supply in a gigabit ethernet g4?

do u know if u can use a quicksilver power supply in a gigabit model. the wiring looks the same but i did notice the quicksilver ps has an extra connector w/ 4pins.i was thinking if u didnt use that extra connector with the 4 pins that it would work in a gigabit model. what do u think?

cool thanks for the quick response. i looked at the 2 pin outs ealier and thought that cutting the 28 v wire would do the trick. but wanted some other outside advice

the quicksilver actually has

the quicksilver actually has two high voltage pins instead of the one used in the Gigabit and DA and the voltage is slightly different.

You can see when comparing the DA PSU with the QS, that Pin 22 is +28v and Pin 9 is unused in the DA while pin 22 is +25v and pin 9 is also +25v in the QS. You can probably get away with pulling pin 9 out of the connector and taping it up so it can't contact anything inside and short out, but the 3 volt difference on pin 22 may not work.
