snow imac 600mhz with no power--need advice on PAV replacement

i have a snow imac g3 600mhz
all of a sudden out of nowhere it stopped powering on
from what i've researched this is a fairly common problem
PAV board failure
i have a 350mhz slot loading imac with a busted up case but powers on fine
i was wondering if i could swap out the PAV board from the indigo imac to use in the snow 600mhz one?
are the imac PAV's interchangable?
can someone please point me to a link showing the instructions on doing the swap?
