OS9 Digital Pics/Video Software for Kids

Anyone have suggestions for a kids software (Age 6-10) that utilizes digital pictures and video taken from one of those cheap digital camcorders that shoots stills and video with sound?

It would be for OS 9, iMac G3/500mhz.

Thanks.

Could you be more specific about what model camcorder you are trying to get working?

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear...the question is not about the camcorder. I need suggestions for some cool kids software that has the ability to import pictures and video and do things with the imported files. Either dressing the pics up or making little movies etc.

The only I can think of is KidPix. I was wondering if there is another that is shareware or freeware etc.

Thanks.

8 yrs old. No not too young. iMovie doesn't have anything she would be interested in. 8 year olds like to put mustache clip art on pictures of girlfriends and wigs on pictures of thier fathers etc.

Video would be secondary...mainly I am looking for a program to import the digital pics that are taken and dress them up or make projects out of them. Most of the digital camcorder slash camera come with this type of software but it is peecee.

Thanks.

I'm not sure what is out ther

I'm not sure what is out there for kids as far as image editing. A quick (few minute) google search for 'children's image editing software' did not really yield any promising results. If you think she could learn to use simple photoshop like tools, you may want to try GIMP. Although it is defiantly not geared towards kids, and is on a level of complexity similar to that of Adobe Photoshop, it is free, so, it doesn't hurt to try it, and you could probably teach your daughter how to use Copy / Paste, and the Move tool. That, combined with a clipart library may fill your needs. Again, i don't offhand know of any image editing software meant specifically for children.

Yes and the newest version is pretty cool for a kid. I still haven't found anything else so I guess I will have to pop for the $20.00.

Thanks.
