Wierd Cube USB overload glitch

Hello,

I'm using a Powermac g4 Cube @450mHz 512RAM, a 30gig Hard Drive, and mac os 10.4.10, and I've noticed the strangest thing. When you turn up the sound to maximum- both itunes and on the keyboard, (with the original clear pro speakers which are usb) the keyboard and mouse stop responding. Is it to much for the usb bus or something? Thanks!

Update to 10.4.11?

You never know what the system updates might fix. Check also for any QuickTime/iTunes updates.

I always advise to run the updates as they come up -- then you don't have piles and piles of updates to do all at once. If you're nervous about it, wait a day or two for the early birds like me to run the updates. I'm sure you'll see lots of chatter here if there's a problem.

Don't forget to repair permissions in the Disk Utility after you run the update(s)!

One more thing: do you have a spare USB keyboard and/or mouse to swap in and see if they make a difference?

Updates

I'm running 10.4.10- which one of the newer versions of Safari thinks is just 10.4.1. I've been meaning to update that thing- I'll have to download it from school with my Pismo. It's almost impossible to download the updates as the comedown, mainly due to my location (AKA NOWHERE) because we have dial-up. Anyway, I don't have another usb kb/mouse handy.

You know, I've never ever run the repair permissions and I always do bulk updates....I will be repairing permissions now!

Thanks!
