Hi,

I'm looking for another heatsink for the LM323k voltage regulator.
(I have some, but they are about half the height)

Does anyone have a source for these?

thx in advance

Found heatsink at Mouser...

I think this is the right one... 1.25" high:

Wakefield 680-125A

I believe the part number recommended here is actually too tall at 1.25", instead it should be 1" tall. The number I recommend is WAKEFIELD 680-10A

Based on the dimensions that I took from an original, Wakefield 680-10A is correct.

They are 1.81" (46mm) square, with a 1" (25.4mm) height.

In operation, it gets very warm. I would not recommend substituting the shorter
680-75A or 680-5A.

I would agree don't go smaller. In fact the height difference between the 1" and 1.25" is barely noticeable. The heat dissipation isn't. I would suggest going with the 1.25" just to be safe. When an LM323 goes it can just short the raw voltage across costing you many components on your board.

Cheers,
