I don't get it either. The only thing I see is the W2K serial number. And it is not even the whole thing. It is just the first 20 digits a windows serial number is 25 digits.

Assuming the first 20 . . .

. . . characters are un"retouched" and not intentionally bogus, how long would it take a scripted installer routine to brute force 59k install attempts?

That's assuming a 36 character alpha-numeric encoding system, is that what they use? Are the production CD's chopped up into large enough serialized batches to even bother making an attempt?

Just curious, I'm sticking with my legit copy of '98 for the forseeable future. Most of the WWII flight sims in my clearance bin collection don't even require '95 and I've got that Big@$$ $50 support manual for it.
