Can I share my external FireWire drive with a PC? I mean can I just unplug it, plug it into the PC and read/write to it then use those files without a problem on my mac?

I guess the PC would be running an operating system of 2000 or XP

Maybe

It all depends on the format of the internal HD.

My Maxtor 160GB FireWire drive came in Fat32. I didn't reformat it and it works great.

PC Exchange lets the Mac work with the drive (either through USB or FireWire). And since it's in a native Windows format, my friend's PC works fine with it, too.

Peace,
Drew
