Quadra 950

I've got a Quadra 950 (see http://www.lowendmac.com/quadra/q950.shtml) that needs to go. It's got 128MB RAM and two 500MB drives inside. Built like a tank and runs like a champ. This was the muscle machine from Apple prior to the release of the PowerPC-equipped machines. Five Nubus slots, room for lots of RAM and lots of drives... would make a great home file server. It's even got a key switch on the front that will lock the ADB port so that nobody can mess with it while you're away. How cool is that?

This machine has belonged to my employer -- a label printing shop -- since new in 1992. I remember seeing the approved purchase order for it back then... $21,000 for the computer, memory, Radius video card & monitor. :o (About half of that was for the memory!)

The computer & memory can be yours for $21 plus the cost of shipping from 57105. Contact me with an AppleFritter PM or e-mail me at davidthornton@spymac.com.

It's sold.

I've had several messages in the last month (on a seldom-used e-mail account) asking about this machine. Sorry, but it's long gone. Keep an eye out for DDTM's mad escapades involving the poor beast!
