I have a CC with a LC 575 Board installed, have been using the ResEdit hack with system 7.5. Downloaded the 19 part 7.5.3, installed but the resedit hack does not seem to work. Even after performing the resedit hack, I still get the bombs on boot. I have tried to boot with extensions off but it still bombs. Boots fine with the original CC motherboard. Does the resedit hack not work after 7.5 or does anyone have any suggestions.

The no-ResEdit-hack bomb has a very specific message - it says "Bus Error". If you are getting any other type bomb on start-up, it ain't ResEdit's fault.
I used the ResEdit hack on OS 7.5.5, so I know it works on that.

I believe it was the bus error but I have already reloaded 7.5 back on my CC. Has anyone downloaded the 19 part 7.5.3 OS, loaded it on their CC Mystic (without the video mod) with the 575 MB installed. After the install, do you change the MB, perform the resedit hack, then change the MB back to the 575. That is the approach I took and could never get the CC to boot with 7.5.3 installed - always got the boot bus error bomb. 7.5.3 would load fine with the original CC MB installed. Does it make a difference whether you select easy install or custom? Need some help to continue to get my CC Mystic up to speed.
