CC - Video problems?

IOW: What's wrong with this picture?

Well, who knows exactly...

... what that guy did to it, as he says it's been his "project" computer.

But at first glance it just looks like he's been fiddling with the adjustment pots for the CRT. It looks to me like he expanded the display width too far -- you get those wide top and bottom corners with the pinched middle when you exceed the analog board's maximum width. It also looks like he adjusted the geometry so that the display shape is a parallelogram instead of a rectangle.

So I'd say the winner got a good deal -- chances are the display will look fine after removing the rear of the case and re-adjusting those pots for a few minutes.

Thought so . . .

. . . but I wanted to make sure of what I was seeing . . . I've got no CC experience whatsoever . . . I've never even seen one IRL!

Turns out I'm very glad I didn't bid anyway . . . snapped up a bunch of goodies from several auctions from the same seller. Gotta love those combined shipping charge reductions!

*sigh* . . . one day I'll run into a CC at one of the local thrifts!
