Interchangability of iMac screens...

Anyone know if the CRT itself in a slot-loading iMac can be swapped with the one from a trayloader and vise versa? Got a dead SL 350 here and id like to stick its good screen in my iMac 333 which has some annoying burn-in.

As I understand it, the Tray-

As I understand it, the Tray-loaders used a different interface plug thingy. I am not sure, but I think it's the older Mac only plug you would find on really old Macs. Or at least one with a same connector. Whereas I believe the Slot-loaders used standard VGA? I could be wrong though and totally talking out of my ass.

Wither way, they probably won't work with each other without a conversion of some sort.

the CRT itself

Having never seen the insides of a tray-loader, I can't say. Everyone else seemsto be thinking of swapping the video hardware as well, not just the CRT alone. Going by that line of thought, anyone know? It seem that is the question being asked.

I have a replacement CRT if you need one

I have a working CRT from a 350mhz slot loader lying around that I was looking to get rid of. Shipping could be an issue but if you really need one, it could be worth it. I'm in Philadelphia, PA. Let me know if you are interested.
