nice collection

nice collection you have there. how did you get a CF 128mb card in your //e? is it a handbuilt card? or a very rare one? nice, tho.

also, I have an interesting expansion card I aquired. I uploaded some scans of it last year to the O-Man (Tom Owad) and he never replyed. Im gonna have to send you some pics, so I can figure out what it is. it looks rare. it says GraphiCard on it, and has a wired cable like a SCSI that goes with it. i'll get back to you on it. -digital Wink

Hi Digital, Thanks for th

Hi Digital,

Thanks for the props on my collection! The CFFA card was designed, firmware coded and built by a fellow named Rich Dreher.

You can see his CFFA website here:

http://www.dreher.net

Click on projects >> CF for Apple II

He's currently out of stock on the second run of boards he did, but log your email request on the 'order form' page just the same, he might make another run of boards - Of course if you're interested in one that is!

To do it again, I'd spring for a 32MB or a 64MB compact flash at the biggest. THIRTY TWO! MB! is unbelievable storage for an Apple IIe. I haven't even scratched the surface of the first 32MB partition on the 128MB card. Bring on the Appleworks files! Smile

As for the card you have, With the name Graphi-Card and a weird SCSI like connector, either it's a printer card that happens to handle graphics, or quite possibly an RGB video out card?!

I'd love to see scans of it, but I can't guarantee I'll be able to identify it for you.

Later,
Craig

just interested s'all

well, I dont own any apple II personally, but my biology teacher from last year at my high school has about 5 IIe's in his class that all work. When I was setting them up, I found that card in one machine, and he said I could have it. I was thinking about getting a IIe from his storage room, where he has about 5 more *complete* ones. by complete, I mean all componants, 2 apple disk II drives a piece, and all have matching Monitor III's, the green phosphoros ones. Also, there is one set of manuals for the beasts (IIE manual, programming in basic, and one more). Either get a IIe, or scrounge on ebay for a IIe emulator card for my LC III, and a 5.25 disk drive. Oh, I also have a rare 5.25 disk (an origonal). it's Apple Presents... Apple that works on Dos 3.3. it has the origonal label, the origonal sheth, and it does work. I also have a whole TONNE of old OLD Apple rainbow stickers. not the ones sold in the 90's with the beasts of the day, but ones from the early 80's, the ones with the older font underneath reading "Apple Computer". I will get some pics. some are even SEALED. I also have like 2 or so packs of the drive labels, sealed. so, as you can see, I have some really old stuff here. one more thing: my biology teacher is the one who got me started in macs. 1 year ago, he gave me and upgraded mac plus for free that he saved from the dumpster. it had the keyboard and mouse also. he uses his SE at home all the time to grade papers on. So, both him and I are real mac and apple enthusiests. But, I have one differance: I am also a PC user to the core. He hates them. So, I am Bilingual. I have mastered both platforms. now, onto Linux. sorry for the long post. -digital Wink

Heh,

Point taken about the massive quantity of inline images! - It was a quickly thrown together page! Smile

Now ... I've got it partially redone with thumbnailed images and a somewhat more interesting format - well at least I think so!

Enjoy!

Thanks, it looks good (and sure is quicker!)

Side-note: If I had a turbo Mopar, it'd have to be an '89 Shelby CSX (got passed by one on the highway one day. I *think* I saw something red fly by... Laughing out loud ) a Spirit R/T, or even an '87 GLH-S. Cool Mmmm... turbo!

sweet..

Very sweet. I've got myself a II+ that was once featured on the cover of Better Homes and Gardens. The picture was taken back in 83 or 84 by Peter Simon and was the photo op for a article entitled something like "Is The End of the Home Computer Near?". Hind sight, whoa.
