I have my iMac wired to an amp and a pre amp. The speakers are in 3 zones throughout the house with volumn controls on the wall. I have to unhook the small clear globe speakers that came with the iMac to change over to this system. It would be really great if i could have them on at the same time as the iMac is in a room that has no other speakes. Anyone know how to do this?

Build a cable that has 1 mini

Build a cable that has 1 mini jack input and 2 mini jack outputs? 1 to mini-amp and the other to the mini speakers.

Or get a pre-amp with 2 line outs...

Globe speakers...you mean external speakers?

I'm guessing it's an iMac G4.
