I have what I believe is a Power Mac G4 Tower Sawtooth aka: Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics).
Based on following the model id tips from the apple website http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58418
This all makes sense. In System Profiler it says:
Model Name: Power Mac G4 (AGP graphics)
Machine Speed: 500Mhz
On the back of the machine on the serial number sticker it says:
500Mhz, 1M Cache, 256 SDRAM, 27 GB Hardrive, DVD-RAM (not ROM!!!), Zip /KB
AND On the back of the machine where the ports are it says Power Mac G4. Now here's the strange thing... in this location it also says "Family Number: M5183". This last detail has really thrown me off? Everything to me says this is an AGP PowerMac G4 except for this Family number?

I also wanted to mention that where the ports are, it says "apple computers 2000".
It's possible that the motherboard and case were from different machines.
Have you opened it up and looked at the motherboard to see if it has 4 pci or 3 pci and 1 agp slots? (i know profiler says it has agp but looking at it with your own eyes is the proof of the pudding).
What is the m5183 model referring to. When I googled that model number, it brought up references to b/w powermac as well as quicksilvers.
M5183 has been used on a number of models, from the G3 B&W up to and including at least the Sawtooth G4 models. Not very helpful, is it?
After the Sawtooth, didn't Apple switch to a 133MHz bus, and GaugePro will display that (edit: I see from the chart below it was the Digital Audio model that went to 133MHz).

Handy, but it doesn't mention the M5183 model number, which I know I've seen on my own G3, as well as the Graphite Sawtooths we have at work.
I cracked open the box.
I found an AGP port and the airport card port as well.
I can't explain the "family number" reference and can only assume that the family number is not the same as a model number.

The only single proc 500MHz G4 made was the Sawtooth. The gigabit was single 400, dual 450, and dual 500. The Digital Audio was single 466, single 533, dual 533, single 667, single 733.
