Probably, are you a rich genius?

You can with some difficulty get the GameCube to boot Linux. And it does have a couple O' ports for attaching network adapters etc. So yeah, or most likely no.

actually...i have an idea!!

mmkay...all i have to do is buy one of those Gamecube to USB adapters, buy a IDE to USB External 3.5" HDD adapters, (this is the hard part) and i need an in-between-box-thingy to tell the HDD what to do , so it can be formated, and used as a memory card....

so far..i need some type of cheap processor, a ROM chip i can use to hold instructions to tell the HDD and NGC what to do.....and a smallish box to throw it in....

does anybody have any ideas??..

EDIT: is there any way to perform this project under $100???

There is away to get the GC t

There is away to get the GC to read and execute information from a memory card and/or a network connection. It involves a memory card, boardband adapter and Phantasy Star Online. PSO is used to boot up the GC normally and then loads an updated executable. The game expects an updated version of PSO but in reality it could be anything using the right tools on a computer sharing the same LAN connection as the GC. OS X versions of the software needed is availible as well as an OS X compiler for GC code.

GC Linux is the only way

If you set up a NFS server on a Linux box, you could access it from a Gamecube running Gamecube Linux. Or, you could do some shell script majic and start an xserver connected to another Linux box.
