New iPods, iTunes 4.7

I was wondering why iPodlounge was taking forever to load...then I found out about the new iPod Photo, iPod U2 Edition, and iTunes version 4.7. More info here:

Arrrgh! *Still* no mic input

Arrrgh! *Still* no mic input for the iPod. I think enough revisions have gone by that I should just admit to myself that it just ain't gonna happen. Steve Jobs just doesn't want hundreds of my dollars, and I'll have to deal with it.

Hmm...

So, they have iTunes and now iPhoto down. Maybe the next major revision will be able to play movies.

Yeah. But only in a Quicktime DRM format. You'll be able to buy music videos from the iTMS Music store for about $1.99 or so and play them.

Apple won't ever include full-quality audio recording because of Apple Corps Records. If you want something with a line-in, you're going to have to look elsewhere.
