i recently tried to mod my ibook g4 case and i ended up warping the case top and when i went to put it on it was putting pressure on the back of the screen. soo i am looking for someone who makes replacment cover tops and suggestions are welsome, thanx

Your best bet would be to look for a new lid on eBay (etc). You don't need the LCD assembly so it shouldn't cost you too much for just the plastics, and AFAIK any iBook plastics will fit on, so you don't need one specifically for the iBook G4.
