URGENT

Hi

I just got a computer from work that i bought home.

It was the shops old computer, and we usually just log in as our store name in the login prompt and our password.

But admin have blocked off all access privalages in this user account. Im running Mac OS X, not sure what version.
Is there any way I can bypass the user login or the access privalages without use of the CD, coz I dont have one...

Need help urgently.

Cheers
Macintrash

Which version of X is it running?

Also, try getting the password wrong three times, then it might give you a hint.

You'll need...

...an OS X installer disk. Boot up from the disk; once inside pull down in the File menu to the Password utility (or some such thing.) There you can reset the admin password (and all others.)

Obsolescence is just a lack of imagination.

Why not just ask at the shop

Why not just ask at the shop for the password? If they still use the same p/w on current systems, bring it back to them and have them change it.
