apparently

some are and some aren't translucent. I've only ever seen non-translucent but then all I've had are 233/512s. However I've heard many WS owners testify their displays have the translucent Apple. Maybe later/higher-end models got the shiny Apple?

I think i read on low end mac that the lombards and lower needed a pcmia add on card to be able to play dvds.

DVD decoder on WS is a cardbus card only.

Also, most Lombard 333 models had no DVD decoder on the MLB, but some did. All 400 mHz Lombards have the DVD decoder hardware on the MLB.
