Couple OS X and safari questions

This may have been asked here before but my first question is in safari what is the keyboard combonation to goto the address bar, im so used to my alt+d on the windows box that i am constantly trying it with this. Second on my new mac mini when it goes to sleep it disconnects from the internet how can i keep it from doing this. Any help would be appreciated.

sleep..

for safari use option tab and it might take a while to get there but it works.(you have to keep hitting option tab util it highlights the tytle bar) i think thats what u mean.
and for the sleep problem you really cant stop that unless you just use a screen saver and set the monitor to shut off after like 5 minutes of inactivity(all under system prefrrences)

Command-L

Command-L

This key command works in many different web browsers to highlight the Address Field including Safari, Firefox, and IE. In the case of the latter two, the command also works in the Windows versions only you use the Control key in place of the Command.

When you Mac goes to sleep, all network connections are closed. To avoid this, set it to never sleep (Energy Saver Preference Pane under the Sleep tab). To compensate for never sleeping, use the settings to shut off your monitor and hard disks.

Thanks for the Cmnd-L tip! I

Thanks for the Cmnd-L tip! I've always used others to select the Address Field but didn't find the right one for FireFox. Of course I didn't RTFM, and sensible combos didn't really include Cmnd-L... Smile
