The machine you're talking about is a very good machine, unfortunately it's only worth $600/700 used, and in 2 months it will worth almost that new. What you could get (on a price value for price value exchange, not a spec for spec exchange) is probably an old ibook or a g4 around 700 mhz or so with decent ram. Good luck though, maybe some has lost interest in their old quicksilver and wants a try at the pc world.

Ok, If that is your Opinion c

Ok, If that is your Opinion cool But I am looking for a mac. G4 How about a eMac 800mhz ,g4 dual 500, powerbook 1ghz or a mini mac. its for trade It is very well taken care of will very good ram. But if I don't get any offers It still will be a good gaming machine. It has not been over clocked or dogged. There might be someone out there with a well taken care of used mac. Who knows but if you don't ask you don't know. I am not trying to rob anybody I am just trying to find a fare exchange. Sorry if my attempt to enter the mac world has insulted you or cause you to want to down grade what I am offering but if by putting my machine down makes you feel better it all good. I am a local sheriff deputy here in alabama and I can't afford to go out and buy a new mac. so excuse me if i try and trade for one. Thank you and much love to you brother

pc trade

I certainly didn't intend to offend, merely to offer advice as to what you'd be likely to get. If you shoot to high, nobody is going to be interested. Sorry if you were offended.

Did I offend you in some way you have not done your home work and you have not made an offer just a lot of speculation my home phone number 256 858 0116 I am employed by the sheriff's office here as a criminal investigator. You are trying to make this into a scam it is not . just in case the area code is not enough I am in Huntsville Ala. I was just looking for a mac man not a way to help you vent about something in your life that just ain't right. you can call me if you like I am an a american born and raised. I also have listed my ebay account. I didnot ask you how you felt but seems that did not bother you. I was under the impressiom that mac people were a different breed it seems my evaluation was flawed. Just human I guess. My email is or , you can call me with your questions if you have anymore. Interpretation

No offence, but I think that he thought that this was a scam because of the lack of punctuation, capitalilzation and grammar in your posts. It's not manditory, but try well, trying harder to make your posts readable.

Well If that is what he meant, He should have said so, but in any case he should have evaluated the information or contacted me off forum. Instead he made personal attacks.

But as I have said before nothing but love.

sorry for the insult

I was just wary because of the fact that both you and the DEFINITE scammer registered on the same day. The structure of your sentences as well as the nature of your request made for the assumption that this was a scam. I certainly wish you nothing but the best of luck and you've certainly done your part to attempt to prove the truth behind your statements.

No problem brother, as I have said before I am just trying to trade for a mac. I don't like scammers either. Maybe I should brush up on my grammer? I arrest crooks everday and understand where you are coming from. scammers are the scum of the earth. I have no love at all for them.

Back to the questtion at hand. Anybody want to trade with me? PLEASE

And to you my friend as always, "Nothing but love brother"

Good for you! People don't know that you can't truly profile on line because scammers can get anybody. the best thing for the ones who are scared of a lost is to not do business on line. I have made thousands and lost thousand, both online and off line. I know Doctors to college professors that are crocks, so grammer is the first step, but when you lose thousands or millions the best crooks are the people you won't see on here trying to trade a freaking computer.

It's All good

I am new to the world of Mac's but i have a eMac 1ghz 1gig ram and a powerbook 17in,1ghz,1gig ram. i got the deal from a local compusa who had a demo model they could not sell. so i sold my game machine to a local computer shop owned by a friend and purchased the powerbook for 800 dollars. I guest that in a world of scammers an honest man can still find a deal. But thank you for all the help and comments. Trust is a good thing along with honesty and compassion. I guest I have a lot to learn about mac people.

Mac people aren't Mac people, they are human beings like any other who happen to like using Apple computers.

As you'll notice on this forum, some are jerks, some are annoying/immature, and some are very decent, helpful, honest people.

But on this particular forum, we're very wary of possible scams- too many of us have been ripped off in the past.

True, the comments in this thread were entirely unnecessary, but the fact remains; it's best not to trust newcomers with unusual deals and poor netiquette.

Now this is so off-topic it'll probably get locked. Tongue

I understand the human condition, but it is not yet against the law to dream.
Hopefully we all may have a chance to get to know each other and network.
I could always use a new friend
