Macintosh Newbie needs to know some stuff.

Hi. I recently bought a Powerbook G3 Series II Wallstreet off of eBay, and I was wondering if there are any particular quirks about the Wallstreet that I should probably know. What experiences have you guys had with this model? Is it worth it to install OSX 10.2 on a stock Wallstreet? What kind of case modding options are there?

I've tried Google, but all I've been able to pull up are specs, reviews, and battery stores.

Wallstreet and OS X

For a wallstreet to run OS X as smooth as possible, I would suggest to install a bit of RAM, 192MB is the maximum regarding to Apple, but it works also with 2 x 256MB. This should be enough for OS X.

By the way, is a 233MHz model or more? What about the hard disk, is it also stock level (2GB up to 8GB)?

wallstreet

a customer of mine has got the same 'book, and it runs OS X.3.8 quite fast (for a 300MHz machine), without any problems. give it a go, install it and try it out!

keep in mind that os x itself will require at least 1,5 to 2GB of disk space... Wink
