Apple IIc hooked up to my tv card, screen scrolls over and over

Hi guys. I bought an Apple IIc a little while ago and finally got it hooked up and running. It looks great, but the screen just scrolls up over and over and over. So right now, my disks aren't with me, so I'm just playing with the command line, and everything scrolls up.. any ideas? It almost looks like a refresh rate problem, but no flickering. I'm using a RF Modulator I bought at radio shack, rf cables to connect it to the apple II and a coax cable to connect to my tv card in my desktop. Any ideas?

TV's verticle hold control

It shouldn't make too much of a difference, but make sure all of your cables are the shielded type. Also, with the R/F modulator, you have to be tuned into the correct "channel", usually 3 or 4. Make sure all devices involved are on the same "channel."

If your tv card has a RCA plug "video in" (composite NTSC signal)(this type of RCA jack is color coded with yellow plastic) just plug directly into that from the //c with an RCA cable, and skip using the modulator.

Otherwise this is a problem of the "TV's" verticle hold control. Find that dial and adjust it. I've had similar experiences with //c's and TV's.

Wonderful advice Smile Thanks.. I can't seem to find any sort of vhold option for my tv player on my machine, but I'll keep looking. May need to grab a tv for this.

Works on TV

I found a TV to test on with a straight RCA cable and it works famously. Looks like the Radio Shack RF Modulator I got is messing up. My TV Tuner works great with cable. I'll take back the RF Modulator in the morning. Anyone have any suggestions for one that'll be worth my buck?
